| Medico-Legal Experience | |
| Over the past ten years I have gained extensive experience in the preparation of medico-legal reports for both Claimants and Defendants. I examine and prepare reports on approximately ten to twelve patients per week and provide an unbiased opinion. I am pleased to say that the vast majority of my reports in the past have been agreed without the need to proceed to a hearing. I have attended appropriate training courses following the recent changes in civil litigation and am fully trained as a single joint expert in report writing and also I have extensive experience in giving evidence in Court. Since April 1999 the vast majority of my new instructions have been on the basis of a single/joint expert with a Claimant/Defendant ratio of 50/50. I am also used as an expert witness in criminal cases and over the years have been involved in several murder trials both as a witness for the prosecution and defence. I accept instructions from Claimants' and Defendants' solicitors for purposes of medical negligence claims. I am Law Society approved as an expert witness. |
